Ceramics of Italy – the brand of the Italian Association of Ceramics – is headed to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida from April 9-12 for the 30th anniversary of Coverings, the largest international tile and stone exhibition in North America. With over 100 exhibiting ceramic and porcelain tile manufacturers, Ceramics of Italy has one of the largest pavilions in the show each year. Visitors can expect to see hundreds of new tile products and innovations, ranging from hyper-realistic printed surfaces and geometric ceramic wallpapers to 12mm porcelain slabs designed specifically for kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, tables and furnishings.

Ceramics of Italy will be hosting and participating in various talks and educational sessions throughout the week, including discussions on the market and a three-part series addressing the issue of material transparency across product categories. Cristina Faedi – Manager of Promotional Activities for Ceramics of Italy – will also lead a presentation on the latest tile trends, material innovations and creative applications with other tile industry experts during the annual “Global Tile Trends” session. The presentation will conclude with a guided walking tour to see the trends in person.

Further, Ceramics of Italy is again a proud sponsor of the Coverings Showcase in the new Installation & Design Experience, where Glenda Wright of Orlando-based architecture firm HHCP will work with a team from Five Star Contractors at Nichols Tile & Terrazzo Co. to create a vibrant, hidden oasis using Italian tile products.

Coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Coverings, the Italian Association of Ceramics will also introduce a new two-volume book, Mater Ceramica, which delves into the past 70 years of ceramics and Italian tile design. Attendees can learn more about this project in the Italian Pavilion.
