Collaborative Efforts Leads to ‘Optical Trips’ Tile Designs
Optical Trips is the first collection born from the union of two creative souls, the material one by Mipa and the design one by the Meneghello and Paolelli studio.
The graniglia (a product obtained by mixing thin fragments of natural marble and marble powders mixed with cement and natural oxides) in the collection of optical illusions becomes a compass around which four different geometric patterns develop.
The design matrix is represented by a single module which, when arranged randomly, generates various configurations of vertices, diagonals, medians or decentralized rectangular perimeters. The result is Vertice, Traverso, Mediana and Eccentrica, four decorations resulting from these interesting prospective experiments. The creative potential of geometric rigor is the real character of the collection which has made straight lines of 90° and 45° strong decorative features.
The collection will be presented at the A.R.T. CERAM – Hall 22 Stand A104-B91 at Cersaie 2022. For more information, visit MIPA’s website.
