MILE®stone to Unveil the Second Chapter in the “Stories” Concept at Coverings 2024

MILE®stone says it is set to captivate and inspire the design community and the tile industry with the second chapter of their Stories concept. MILE®stone, in collaboration with Michele McMinn, Gresham Smith Studio Design Lead, Partner and current member of MILE®stone‘s Design Advisory Council (DAC), will launch the new collection at Coverings 2024.
BACKGROUND
MILE®stone’s commitment to design excellence is exemplified by the establishment of DAC. Comprised of seasoned architects, designers and forward thinkers, DAC is an advisory body sharing insight into today’s emerging trends. The DAC, offering expert perspectives, and exploring the evolving landscape of design, is a cornerstone of MILE®stone’s goal of porcelain tile design innovation.
STORIES – THE FIRST CHAPTER
MILE®stone’s Stories concept, introduced in 2023, is a collaboration to ‘Give Voice to the American Design Community’. Stories gives designers the opportunity to create and launch a porcelain tile collection with MILE®stone. The first collection, Bestow, was the inaugural launch in partnership with Jennifer Farris, principal designer and owner of Bandura Design.
THE SECOND CHAPTER
MILE®stone will unveil the second chapter of Stories at the Coverings 2024 Tradeshow April 22nd through April 25th. The new collection, selected from several concepts submitted by DAC members, will contribute to the Stories legacy, with a beautifully warm, earthy design. Michele McMinn brings her expert design sensibilities, knowledge of current trends and passion for artistic expression to this exciting new collection. She effectively addresses a need in the design community by looking to natural inspiration. MILE®stone is proud to launch the resulting collection!
COVERINGS 2024 UNVEILING
The MILE®stone booth will offer Coverings attendees the opportunity to see the fusion of art and innovation, in the Stories concept. Michele will be on hand to discuss her inspiration and the design process she undertook with the MILE®stone team.
