Road Trip: Crossville Tile Manufacturing Plant Tour
Breaking news y’all! As a lover of all things tile, I was beyond thrilled when the wonderful folks at Crossville Inc. recently asked if I’d like to take part in their upcoming media tour of their manufacturing facility. The tour will showcase, among other things, the ins and outs of the tile-manufacturing process, showing off all the machine tools that the company use to make their amazing tiles. It really makes you rethink what a lathe is used for here, with the creative methods on display.. Heck yeah, sign me up!
Nothing brings me greater pleasure than watching something being made. Not only are you enjoying the experience, while gaining an appreciation for the details and the forethought, but it’s pretty much guaranteed you’ll be enjoying the end result.
About Crossville Tile
It should be noted that Crossville, an American company based in Crossville, Tennessee, has marked many firsts within its three-decade history, including: manufacturing tile with certified recycled content; developing the ability to recycle fired porcelain (Tile Take-Back® Program) in partnership with TOTO USA; achieving TCNA’s Green Squared certification for its U.S.-produced tile lines; and first to distribute Laminam by Crossville, a line of large-format, thin porcelain panels.
So, stay tuned and mark your calendars for Wednesday, July 27, when I’ll be posting live from the Crossville tile tour. Make sure you’re following Tileometry on all its platforms, including Instagram, Twitter and Facebook so you don’t miss a thing from this eye-opening experience.
